Environmental protection and sustainable development have become top priorities for many countries. This study provides insights into the environmental accounting methods successfully implemented in various nations, drawing valuable lessons for Vietnam. The paper analyzes several exemplary countries' experiences in environmental accounting, including developed nations such as Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, and the Czech Republic. Each of these countries has its own unique environmental accounting methods and processes, reflecting differences in economic, social, and political conditions. This offers profound insights into environmental accounting and opens new avenues for Vietnam to adopt effective accounting methods to promote sustainable development and environmental protection.
