This study examines the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and its role in promoting eco-industrial park (EIP) development in Vietnam through Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) provisions. Drawing on policy analysis and secondary data, it explores how EVFTA commitments create regulatory pressure, support institutional reform, and shape conditions for sustainable industrial upgrading. The study argues that the EVFTA may contribute to EIP development by strengthening environmental governance and encouraging more sustainability-oriented investment, although the available evidence does not allow a definitive causal claim.
